December Classroom Visits

Spending the day at a rural elementary school was a fabulous way to finish out 2024! In addition to helping first grade celebrate their completion of the Meet the Applemans beginning reading series, I spent time with some fellow chicken enthusiasts in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade! We used principles of design to illustrate an aggressive chicken and then completed an activity that showed how figurative language has the power to make our writing more memorable. I even picked up a few chicken facts!
